Boom Island Brewing Company was born from a simple conviction: that great beer starts with great ingredients and a deep respect for the craft. Named after the island in the Mississippi River that gave the neighborhood its identity, we brew in the heart of Minneapolis where the water runs clear and the community runs strong.
Our taproom sits just steps from Lake Calhoun, offering a warm, welcoming space where locals and visitors gather to share a pour. Every batch is brewed on-site with care, using water filtered from the Mississippi watershed and malted grains from Minnesota farms.
From our flagship IPA to our rotating seasonal releases, each beer is a reflection of this city — bold, unpretentious, and deeply rooted in place.
